For our 33rd Annual Roundup Nationals, the MCCI moves the Roundup Nationals 152 miles, from Lexington, Kentucky…and makes a return to our host city of Bowling Green, located in South Central Kentucky. This WILL be the largest Maverick/Comet show ever in Kentucky, as well as the USA, and you will not want to miss it!!
Wednesday, July 15, 2026: Early Arrival Day & Day Cruise. Aviation Heritage Park and Museum, 1825 Three Springs Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42104. Leave host hotel at 12:45pm for the 4 mile/15 minute drive to Aviation Heritage Park and Museum, a must-see destination in Bowling Green. Fighter jets and helicopters are on display outside for visitors to touch, inspect, and take photos with, including an F-4 Phantom, an F-111 Aardvark, an F9F Panther painted in Navy Blue Angel livery, an SH-3H Sea King Helicopter in Marine 1 configuration, and a “Huey” helicopter. All of these aircraft were curated because they all connect in some way to aviators from this region. Inside the museum, they use aircraft and artifacts, along with video, images, and interactive screens, to tell inspiring stories of bravery, honor, determination, and self-sacrifice. A Piper Cub aircraft from 1940 is suspended inside to honor Willa Brown, the first African-American woman to receive a commercial pilot license, who went on to train the Tuskegee Airmen. There is also a T-38 Talon on display that holds the distinction of being flown by every person who ever walked on the moon. Thursday, July 16, 2026: Family Day & Day Cruise #1. National Corvette Museum. 350 Corvette Drive, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101. Leave the host hotel at 12:30 for the 20 minute drive to the National Corvette Museum for a 1:00pm tour. The National Corvette Museum opened in 1994 as an educational tribute to America’s sports car. Every Corvette in the world since 1981 is assembled at the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant, located just ¼ mile from the National Corvette Museum. MCCI members get a discount for admission. $23 adults, $14 youth ages 5-12. A tour guide will be assigned to our group and provide a short orientation before we embark on a self guided tour. Friday, July 17, 2026: Family Day & Day Cruise #2. Chaney’s Dairy Barn, 9191 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101. Leave host hotel at 11:00 for the 10 mile/25 minute drive. Rolling farmlands, Jersey cows and the best ice cream in Kentucky according to USA Today are only the beginning at Chaney’s Dairy Barn. We will start the tour with lunch where we enjoy a full array of favorites with homemade soup, hot sandwiches and desserts. Choose from a wide selection of Kentucky made products in the gift shop and let the kids release some steam on the new and improved playground with monster slides, a tower structure, a Ten Spin and a huge jumping pillow. We will have a guided tour after lunch, which includes a cup or ice cream for tasting, for $8 per person, where we will be wowed by the Lely robotic milker! Chaney’s is only the 3rd farm in Kentucky to have this state-of-the-art technology that keeps the cows more comfortable and content all day and night.
